# Experiment: Announcements - Weekly Meeting

### What

An "Announcements" agenda item is added to every weekly meeting. It is speak-only, that is, closed to discussion.

### Why

This creates space for rapid fire minor updates that aren't worthy of full discussion as agenda items. An example of an announcement item would be some new stuff you have brought in and donated to the space or a minor update you want people to be aware about.

Also, so many people are involved and doing so many things that it's impossible to keep track of everything. This provides a single block for all kinds of small project updates.

### When

The experiment kicked off with the 2023-03-01 meeting and is currently ongoing.
