### Inside business
#### Woodshop
llama
Discussion coming from 2 people using the woodshop who Jimmy didn't recognize. Which was a surprise. How open is it? How obtrusive is it? Produces dust, noise. No one can work here reliably. How do we want to think about relationship with woodshop.
LP and Sy thinking about enclosing the shop. These are ongoing things.
Someone wants to use the shop. What next?
Sy, LP, Jessy all have equipment. Can we do a woodshop meeting? Like ventilation meeting?
micro - lets take over a meeting
lp - get 3 main bottomliners to be part of it
will - announce in woodworkingbine to setup meeting
puck - pre and post enclosure
lp - we need a policy
### Outside business
#### OHC Meetup
will gave a talk about energy systems, pre-ooza ooza.
dany from biotech without borders was there, and he was excited about ooza because he wants to get data out of testing materials that can be oozed out of the machine, he can help make more useful and interesting goo.
offered to come down for a goo-making day
will - talk was kinda philosophical, can retool the talk to be like 'hey i want help with this' like the other talks
llama - speaking of ooza, guy came down here one time giving buckets of green coffee beans to roast. and he offered to give an othermill. also works in the lab next to the lab with the coffee recipe. i messeged them before and didnt return message. he is looking for tenure, maybe we can lean on that angle to get him more involved.
llama - different level of danger. axidraw on ooza is lower than spindle/routing.
will - before tooling, we are building our skill levels, collectively. before inviting people in. would love over the summer, even if we get together 2 or 3 times, just running a print. setup materials flow, mix materials, have designs ready to print. run the printer, dry the prints. its not just day of, its a multi-week process.
llama - come by next time, we have a good flow.
lp - for coffee stuff, we could do that in one day.
small meeting of the minds, before inviting other people
will - setting chitosan expectations. we have some materials, but hesitant to buy acetic acid because it can burn skin. Maybe we can use vinegar. acetic acid needs ppe. powder in blender. acid in autopipetter. then use autopipetter. dont want splashing. can try white vinegar, but we only have samples of the chitosan. An 8 gallon bucket costs $500. company i got the samples from sells it in large formats. we were purists at mit, using industrial products. it ratchets up the difficulty level.
lp - didnt chitosan relate to mushroom?
will - its only a binder
micro - this craft day, lets run a print. invite dany. one for printing, one for materials.
