space changelog
this is a space for changes and dialogs about changes in the space so that we have information.
- puck: space changelog should probably be a page (or a matrix channel) because no one look at meeting notes
- micro: maybe announce people should go take a look at the change log
lippe doing a lot of cleanup
- phone is now on the table
- todo: micro label second networking bin
- all other networking equipment
- un-ran the east-west draped power cable
- we now have a power cable box
- put your stuff in project boxes
TODO: Center Table - LABEL Your Stuff is Not Safe Here
- please make sure the surface is clear
- please return tools back to where it comes from
tyler - want to use some of the woodworking zone, have some tools and materials. is there a person to talk to directly? slightly worried about someone hurting themselves / liability. who do i talk to?
llama - noise, fine powder, noise matters - concerns of the rest of the basement
whats it for? what scale?
tyler - shelving sized. personal first. collecting machine tools. panel saw or something like that.
lp - what would a woodshop be?
birthday announcements
- lp's birthday today
- llama bday tomorrow
library project
micro - library.woodbine.nyc redirects to our libib host (unless you are on firefox and have HSTS)
mesh updates sort of
llama - no updates. spent some nighttime talks with daniel about why its slow and getting no response. problem has been known for over a year. the people who use the internet are not the people who maintain the internet. from the information dashboard things look fine, but they aren't really reporting the situation.
how can we improve this?
can we document the spectrum used? someone has but it got buried. so we either re-do the work, or find it and verify.
can we just run regular speed tests to improve our understanding of the network. we cannot force 5000 stations to do speedtests.
josh - ive expressed interest for 9 months. i need teaching to make moves on this.
micro - i can pair on snippets of what we have done
lp - join the slack
https://basement.woodbine.nyc/mesh#
lets fill in our questions and understanding
matrix
lp - many rooms are not browsable when you join our space, can we fix that
micro - yes after meeting TODO
